Day 14 Mah Favorite Movie

Once again my friends, It is I, Dustin. I am writing this to you after seeing THE GREATEST movie of all time ever period. I'll get to that in a minute though. First I would like to tell you about how great it is to be alive. Today we decided to ride the underground metro to Chinatown. I wanted to get some Thai curry, but Hannah is allergic to peanut butter, so she will die if she even looks at thai food... so sushi it is!

Here we are now cruising down the street, looking cool as cool can be. We walked for a while to get down to the metro, which was an all new experience for me. I forgot to take pictures of it because I was so overwhelmed by the thought of traveling at high speeds underneath tons of earth. We popped out at San Francisco's business district. Let me tell you, if where we started this journey was the land of "do whatever you want no one cares," this district was the land of "I make money to fill a God sized hole in my chest." Not a fun place.

Then we arrived in the land of "Asian Dreams." So many Asian people, all of different ethnicities. Which begs the question--Why is it called CHINAtown? If you ask me it's the leftover racism from a dark dark time in America's history. That being said, it is pretty cool. Lots of tourism stuff to buy, but also lots of good restaurants. We decided to get some Japanese food, where I tried something new called "Donburi," which is delicious.

Here is a picture of my super beautiful wife, and her crazy friend Hannah. I told them to think of something they loved while posing, you can see the difference here.

Here I am at the restaurant, looking cool. If i seem annoyed, it's because theaters now force you to reserve certain seats when you buy tickets, rather than just letting you get there early and snagging the best seats. I hate this and so should you.

Me booking tickets on my phone. We decided on the 9:40 showing because all of the tickets at the earlier showing were taken.

Our waiter gave us free icecream... YAY. I actually thought it was okay, but Hannah and Hunter were over the moon.

If you look closely, you will see that I am standing next to a movie poster called "Your Name." Also known as "Kimi no na wa." This was my second time seeing it. It was playing across the country 2 weeks ago for about 4 days. It is now only playing in California for the next 2 days. I rushed over to San Francisco when I found out it was still playing here because it is my new favorite movie. The soundtrack is completely composed by one of my favorite bands, "RADWIMPS." It is the story of a boy and a girl who occasionally swap bodies when the fall asleep. The girl lives in a small town far out in the countryside, while the boy lives in Tokyo. They gain a new respect and appreciation for each others lives, and their own situations. It is a beautiful and heartwarming story with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Once this movie is released in America on DVD, I will announce it on the blog so you can all see it. I recommend the japanese version, but if you simply must see it in english, I am sure it will still be a good experience.

After seeing the movie, we went home and fell asleep. I love all of you very much and wish you all (would find a way to see the masterpiece of a movie that is "Your Name") the very best. Thank you and until next time, Sayounara.
