Day 15-16

Yo. Dustin has returned for a quick recap of day 15. Very little was done that day, which is why we added it to today's entry. We mostly hung around Hannah's apartment and watched some Blacklist (thanks Dad.) We didn't even take any pictures. It was a fun, yet lazy day. Who better to write about it than a fun yet lazy shining hero? I'll keep it short and sweet in keeping with that title. Hunter, take it away!

Day 16 began with my bff in her rightful place, making ME breakfast!! Muahahaha!
After coffee and breakfast, we had to part ways and set off for the Redwoods ;( bittersweet
We got to go over the Golden Gate Bridge!

Cute island!

Rolling green hills

As we drove through the beautiful California coast-side up hwy 101, I noticed all of the vineyards on the side of the road.  They made me remember that California is "Wine Country".  I was curious about that, so I did some research.  It turns out that 90% of our country's wine is produced in California.  If California were to be an independent nation, it would rank 4th in the world for wine production. The first recorded vineyard in California was planted by a Roman Catholic priest.  Imagine that.

So as we were driving down the road, looking at the beautiful rolling hills, endless vineyards and the great big blue sky, I heard a noise.  It was the back window slightly open.  I told Dustin to roll it up, but when he did the window just DISAPPEARED!!!  I was speechless.  I looked at Dustin and said "the window is gone"

WHAT
He said

The window is gone,
I said again

Where did it go?
He said

I have no idea
I said

And so we pulled over at the next stop to try and figure out WHAT THE HECK, MAN?????
Our window really had disappeared.  After some investigation, we found it.  Somehow and for SOME REASON I DONT KNOW WHY the window had managed to slide into the door frame of the car and it would not roll back up.  Dustin began digging in his toolbox for something and I just stood there, FLABBERGASTED and on the verge of howling laughter.  Dustin looked up at me from his toolbox and yelled
WHAT

And I said
Nothing

What are you doing
He said, very angry

I smiled at him and began to speak when suddenly he yelled
STOP LOOKING AT ME AND FIND ME DUCT TAPE
I NEED THE GREY DUCT TAPE
He yelled

We don't have grey duct tape
I said to him

I'm sure you can guess what he said after that!

We stopped at a NAPA auto parts to get some help, advice, anything.  Long story short, we decided to just do this: .

And so far it's working great, even through the rain.  Doesn't it look super classy?

After that whole fiasco, we drove to a campsite by Big Lagoon in Humboldt county outside of Eureka.
I was delighted to see the ocean, my favorite!

And then we met a big fat cat! Super cute!!!

Till next time!
